Former Binibining Pilipinas Universe (Miss Philippines – Universe), model and actress Joanna Gallardo-Mills, otherwise known as Dindi Gallardo, has sued Batman – The Dark Knight comic book writer Frank Miller as well as his girlfriend.

Dindi Gallardo, 41, a former employee of Miller’s, has accused the Dark Knight writer and his girlfriend, Kimberly Cox, for making her work environment “hell.” She started to work as an executive coordinator for Miller in November 2008.

Joanna Gallardo-Mills or Dindi Gallardo filed her lawsuit before a Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City. Dindi Gallardo says that Cox smeared her work area with human feces, threw mobile phones at her, destroyed her printer with a hammer and even left a used menstrual pad by her work desk.

Cox also allegedly swears at her and discriminates her “funky accent.”

But Gallardo-Mills says she has lived in the USA for more than 20 years and can speak fluent English.

Gallardo-Mills is being represented by high-powered employment lawyer Matthew Blit.

Cox was allegedly “shocked” by the lawsuit. She claims that they offered Gallardo-Mills a settlement but was declined.

Dindi Gallardo reports for work at the Hell’s Kitchen area in New York, where Miller and Cox share a living/work space.

She is seeking unspecified monetary damages for discrimination as well as mental anguish.
