Richard Hatch, the winner of the first season of CBS hit reality series “Survivor,” is reportedly asking from immediate release from prison due to improper calculation of his jail term. He has a four-year and three-month prison term in West Virginia.

Hatch was jailed due to evading tax dues on the $1 million cash prize that he won from the series.

The sole Survivor filed the request on Tuesday in US District Court in Providence.

Hatch claimed on his memo that he’s innocent of the charges and that he was represented by ineffective and incompetent attorneys thus leading to this unreasonable prison term.

A minor league baseball team in Grand Rapids, Michigan is offering large burgers with a calorie value of 4,800 this year.

According to reports, the West Michigan Whitecaps will be adding these gigantic burgers to the menu this year. For those who will be trooping to the Fifth Third Ballpark to watch the league’s games then check out the menu.

The burger weighs four pounds and costs twenty dollars. There are five slices of cheese, five beef patties, salsa, corn chips and chili all covered by an eight-inch bun that’s covered with sesame seeds.

A curator from an Oklahoma Zoo believes that there might be a mistaken identity on the spider found in a grocery store early this week.

According to Tulsa Zoo curator of aquariums and herpetology Barry Downer, the spider based on what he saw on videos and photographs was a Huntsman spider and not the lethal Brazilian wandering spider.

“There’s pretty definitive evidence it has been misidentified,” Downer was quoted as saying.

However, the spider has been destroyed by Terry Childs, an animal facilities manager at the University of Tulsa and the one who identified the spider as deadly. He reasoned that a university administrator asked him to destroy it for safety reasons.

The New Jersey Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling is reportedly pushing for a ban on genital or “Brazilian” waxing to avoid further mishaps including two recent incidents wherein women got injured while undergoing the process.

The two unidentified women have been hospitalized for infections and one of them already filed a lawsuit.

Genital waxing has never been allowed, according to experts. However, since there was no ban on this – many people have resorted to this process with the hope of having a smoother bikini line.

A 61-year old man from Michigan claimed that he got fired from his salesman job because he had a big waistline which is synonymous to being overweight.

According to reports, Patrick Ronayne was let go from his job which pays $75,000 a year. The dismissed employee alleged that his replacement was a thinner person, thereby fueling his claim that his weight was the main reason.

However, the employer – Winston Golf and Winston Manufacturing – stressed that it was Ronayne’s poor performance that led to his dismissal but the complainant would not believe it.
