After the blockbuster performance of the “Sex and the City” movie last year, it is already a given that a sequel will take place. This became a reality after Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall signed up for the highly anticipated follow-up film. This was announced by New Line Cinema on Thursday.

The movie outfit added that writer-director Michael Patrick King also signed up to write the script for the film.

“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the high profile celebrities that graced the launch of a space-themed exhibition structure conducted by Chanel in New York’s Central Park.

Also seen in this unusual yet star-studded event were The Strokes musician Albert Hammond Jr. and current beau Agyness Deyn.

Karl Largerfeld, Chanel’s artistic director, was also present in the event. According to reports, the shell-like structure will be transferred in London, Moscow and Paris in the succeeding weeks.
