The funeral of reality TV star Jade Goody still got comprehensive media coverage, somewhat the same attention that was given to her while she was still alive.

Goody died of cervical cancer on March 22 at the young age of 27. Prior to her death, she married fiancé Jack Tweed which was a media event.

Scores of fans and journalists were present at London’s St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday. Large TV screens were installed to provide better coverage of the events. The reality star’s publicist pointed out that Goody would have wanted the funeral to be this way.

“She will have a big smile on her face when she sees what is going on today,” Max Clifford said.

“In life she loved being loved and it is pretty clear that this is the overwhelming feeling today,” he added.

Reality TV star Jade Goody lost her fight to cervical cancer on Sunday morning. This was confirmed by the 27-year old star’s publicist Max Clifford.

According to Clifford, Goody died in her sleep during the wee hours of Sunday at her home in Essex, England.

The former dental assistant rose into fame seven years ago when she joined the hit reality TV show “Big Brother.” Her popularity at that time merited another chance in the series via the “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2007 wherein she got in heated arguments with fellow housemates especially Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty. Both had reconciled after the show.

For a third time, Goody participated in the “Big Brother” series this time via a celebrity edition in India. However, her stint at the show was short since a medical diagnosis revealed that she has cervical cancer. She immediately went home to Britain.
