R&B star Chris Brown, currently being accused of beating his equally famous girlfriend Rihanna, was reportedly seen in the company of a new girl gal last weekend, igniting speculations that they may be in a relationship.

That girl turned out to be “Girlicious” singer Natalie Mejia.
Later that night, Brown was seen in the company of other celebrity friends at a famous Los Angeles party place. Mejia was not seen with the group.

Mejia stated in an interview that she’s indeed the woman shown on the photographs but did not elaborate on the nature of their relationship.

Last Monday, Brown pleaded not guilty to felony charges of threatening and assaulting Rihanna in an incident that took place the night before the Grammy Awards. The next hearing is scheduled on April 29.

Rumored reunited lovers Rihanna and Chris Brown are said to be working on a love song duet, despite the charges the latter is facing on allegedly attacking his girlfriend. This development was released by several celebrity websites on Tuesday.

According to reports, the duo was seen at a recording studio in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Brown’s lawyers are working on a plea deal that could avoid prison time for the 19-year old R&B star.

Music producer Polow Da Don has reportedly written the song originally for Rihanna before the altercation took place the night before the Grammy Awards last month. However, this time, the producer believes that the duet would sound better considering that the song focuses on the challenges faced by couples.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said on Wednesday that R&B star Chris Brown is expected to make a court appearance on Thursday, despite the fact that he’s yet to be filed with charges.

Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the DA, said that Brown was told that he’s required to make an appearance based on the scheduled date arranged during his arrest on February 8.

The 19-year old artist was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. The police said that a woman has identified Brown as the attacker. Several media outlets have reported that the alleged victim was none other than Brown’s current beau, Rihanna.

R&B singer Chris Brown said that he’s sorry for the controversy that took place following his arrest a week ago in connection with an investigation on domestic violence. His statement, released through publicist Michael Sitrick, was reported to the media on Sunday.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person,” the 19-year old artist said in a statement.

“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and-or reported in the media is wrong,” he added.

Wrigley, the makers of popular chewing gum Doublemint, has decided to suspend the ad campaign of 19-year R&B superstar Chris Brown after his alleged involvement in a criminal case.

The suspension took effect on Monday and will end until such time that his case is revolved. According to reports, Brown was accused of assaulting an unidentified woman the day before the Grammy Awards, forcing him to miss his planned appearance and performance at the prestigious event.
