If you ask Eric Mabius about the pairing of his character in “Ugly Betty” and his assistant Betty Suarez, he’d prefer that it won’t happen.

Mabius plays the ladies man Daniel Meade in the hit comedy series. He knows that several forum and fan sites have started pairing the two unlikely couple in the series but if he had a say on this, Mabius said that it’s like “jumping the shark.”

The 37-year old actor said that he’s aware that other “Betty” versions shown around the world ends with the boss marrying his assistant but in his case, it’s not an exciting idea.

The top rating series is currently on its third season and is aired every Thursdays on ABC.

“High School Musical” star Zac Efron is reportedly no longer part of the “Footloose” remake. This was confirmed by Paramount Pictures, the producer behind the film.

The film studio did not provide any information behind this decision. However, director Kenny Ortega and producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan are still part of the film project.

Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Bruce Willis has reportedly tied the knot for the second time.

Rogers & Cowan, the actor’s publicity agency, revealed in a statement that the 54-year old actor married 30-year old actress/model Emma Heming in a private ceremony in his home at Turks and Caicos Islands. The wedding took place on Sunday.

The newlyweds reportedly met through mutual friends nearly two years ago. This serves as the first marriage for Heming.

Reality TV star Jade Goody lost her fight to cervical cancer on Sunday morning. This was confirmed by the 27-year old star’s publicist Max Clifford.

According to Clifford, Goody died in her sleep during the wee hours of Sunday at her home in Essex, England.

The former dental assistant rose into fame seven years ago when she joined the hit reality TV show “Big Brother.” Her popularity at that time merited another chance in the series via the “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2007 wherein she got in heated arguments with fellow housemates especially Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty. Both had reconciled after the show.

For a third time, Goody participated in the “Big Brother” series this time via a celebrity edition in India. However, her stint at the show was short since a medical diagnosis revealed that she has cervical cancer. She immediately went home to Britain.

Forty-five year old actress Natasha Richardson, the daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave, reportedly succumbed to brain damaged caused by a minor skiing accident in Canada.

Richardson died in a New York hospital just days after a minor fall she had during a private ski lesson at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada. The accident was thought to be minor but her ski instructor and local patrol advised her to have a check-up. An hour later after the accident, Richardson said she’s not feeling good and was rushed to the nearest hospital. She was then flew to New York.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” Alan Nierob, a spokesman for the family.
