The annual swimsuit edition of Cleo may have lost its clad girls wearing bikinis everywhere but their ACP title is never to lose its place on the mag and newsstands.

A few hours before the party of the magazine Miami Nights kicked off at one of the penthouse apartments in Darlinghurst last night, Sarah Oakes, the editor of the magazine Cleo stated that she was getting sick and tired of the many rumors floating around about the magazine facing the chopping blocks.

The rumors, according to Oakes are really outrageous. “We are seeing some good results in the last two months” said Oakes.

The touch economic climate and the falling circulation have prompted the talks about the merging titles as well as the possible closure of some magazines at the ACP by the end of this year.

Following the cuts at the events and publicity department of the ACP, it has been said that the Cosmopolitan and Cleo are rumored to be under scrutiny.

Guest list, a smaller venue and the absence of their bikini models for the swimsuit party held by Cleo this year set off the alarms that there were other plans for the magazine but still Oakes stated there wasn’t really any cost-cutting strategy in the extravaganza last night.
