When Daniel Craig a.k.a James Bond announced that he would never again wear a similar swimwear to the one he wore in Casino Royale – women all over the world said ‘Aw, too bad’.

Well, James Bond’s hot shorts may no longer be up for viewing.

However, it does not mean that the super sleuth’s choice of beachwear was not resonated in beaches and the world over.

Here a few swimwear trends for men in 2008 and 2009, and yes, they do include Bond’s clingy suit.

Square Leg Shorts – James Bond wore Square leg shorts in Casino Royale. This trend is sweeping beaches everywhere. It is the most popular men’s swimwear trend for 2007 and 2008.

It may even still be big in the years ahead. Square leg shorts are a great swimsuits for men, especially those who hate too-too-tight swim trunks. This type of swimwear is perfect.

It gives the right coverage without affecting modesty, mobility and tanning capability.

Prints and Bold Lines – Aside from the Square Leg Swimsuit, men should also look for items with graphical prints and bold lines. Men should not be afraid of color.

Light ones like pale blues and pale greens are always good. But then again, men could also go for the staple blacks and navys.
