Actress Katherine Heigl revealed on Friday that she’s not sure whether her character in top-rating drama “Grey’s Anatomy” stays on due to plot secrecy that’s being implemented by series creator and writer Shonda Rhimes.
The ABC medical drama just marked its 100th episode and a studio party took place to celebrate the milestone.
“I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go,” Heigl was quoted as saying, referring to her character Dr. Izzie Stevens.
“I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” she said.
Speculations arose that Heigl wants to leave the show to concentrate on making movies. However, during the latest episode, Heigl’s character was seen surviving brain surgery – an indication that she can still be seen in succeeding episodes. How long remains to be the question.
