We’ve probably heard of the age-old excuse for not making the homework – “our dog ate it.” In this case, we may consider giving this an extra thought.

In North Carolina, a family’s dog reportedly ate paper – not just any paper – but the mom’s hard-earned cash!

According to reports, Kelley Davis discovered that the extra money she earned as a physical therapist was gone. She was planning to deposit the money in the bank but after searching for hours in her home and her pockets, she discovered that there’s something unusual about her dog.

She said that she left the money in her bedroom and her dog, a Swiss mountain breed named Augie, was also there at that time. She deduced that the dog might have eaten the money.

So the 42-year old mother took Augie for a walk last weekend and when the dog defecated, she noticed parts of the bills. She immediately washed the droppings and is hoping to form the bills once more for cash. There’s no indication if she had managed to piece everything together.
