Natasha RichardsonForty-five year old actress Natasha Richardson, the daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave, reportedly succumbed to brain damaged caused by a minor skiing accident in Canada.

Richardson died in a New York hospital just days after a minor fall she had during a private ski lesson at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada. The accident was thought to be minor but her ski instructor and local patrol advised her to have a check-up. An hour later after the accident, Richardson said she’s not feeling good and was rushed to the nearest hospital. She was then flew to New York.

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” Alan Nierob, a spokesman for the family.

Richardson’s close friends and family have reportedly arrived at the Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.

Richardson was an award-winning actress who appeared in blockbuster films such as “The Parent Trap” and “Main in Manhattan.”
