Multimillionaire celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse has decided to make an old woman’s day memorable by sending her a new set of his signature cookware due to the latter’s bravery.

It was reported last week that a 70-year old Ohioan woman used a Lagasse pan to defend herself from a group of intruders.

Ellen Basinski said that she used her favorite pan when she saw intruders invading her home. She was on the phone with her husband at that time when teenagers barged their way in. Her husband is Lorain County Judge David Basinski.

It was Judge Basinski who called the authorities when he heard the commotion while his wife warded off the intruders.

The intruders were arrested. However, the judge revealed that his wife remained upset when the police took the pan as evidence.
