Authorities from Stuart, Florida revealed that a 75-year old elderly victim managed to catch up with a much younger robber who snatched his newly bought merchandise.

According to their report, the young robber thought he can get away with snatching the elderly man’s brand new laptop and printer which the latter just bought at a Best Buy store in the area.

The victim recounted to the authorities that he was just waiting for his wife to pick him up in front of the store when the young man ran towards him and grabbed the items. However, the snatcher failed to notice that the victim ran after him. The suspect made it about three meters before the victim caught up with him.

An off-duty policeman saw the incident and immediately came to the rescue and arrested the young man.

The suspect currently faces charges of robbery and battery on an elderly person. He’s currently being held on a $12,500 bail.
