Wisconsin – A disturbing written essay submitted by a 9-year old boy to the teacher prompted the latter to turn over the document to the authorities. This resulted to the arrest of the boy’s father.

The essay contained the boy’s revelation that he’s been shot by a BB gun by his father one “painful afternoon.” A BB gun is a type of air gun that shoots pellets, usually propelled by compressed air.

The 36-year old father was charged by prosecutors on Friday with one felony count of child abuse. If found guilty, the father could spend up to six years in prison plus a $10,000 fine. According to the authorities, the father said he shot child because he didn’t move fast enough away from the TV. He thought of aiming on the boy’s rear pocket because it’s more padded.  He admitted that it was a stupid decision and stressed that he was not drunk or under any influence of drugs.

He was released with a signature bond. He’s also ordered not to conduct acts of violence against his son, give threats or conduct physical disciple to any child.
