A perfect wedding at a perfectly romantic place. That’s what Mexican-born actress Salma Hayek and her French billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault did in Paris on Valentine’s Day.

The civil ceremony took place at the 6th arrondissement City Hall on Saturday. According to an official, the wedding was a small affair. The official requested anonymity due to policies implemented in the office.

Hayek’s spokesperson, Cari Ross, sent an email to the media on Monday confirming the marriage but no other details were provided.

The wedding came out as a surprise to many because the relationship was believed to have ended last year when the couple broke off their engagement. However, a few months later, they made up and decided to continue with the marriage.

Hayek is currently an executive producer of the hit ABC series “Ugly Betty” and was nominated for an Oscar in 2003 for the movie “Frida.” Pinault, on the other hand, is the CEO of the retail group PPR SA which owns popular labels such as Puma, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
