Multihyphenate artist Will Smith was voted as Hollywood’s most bankable star by Forbes.com. The site conducted a survey among industry professionals and came up with ten elite names. Smith got a score of perfect 10.
Tied in second place are Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp via the score 9.89. Rounding up the list are Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, George Clooney and Tom Hanks.
Smith has been considered a box office drawer following his continuing streak of generating more than $100 million in ticket sales for his films. The 40-year old actor also topped an annual poll conducted by Quigley Publishing Co., which conducted a survey among movie exhibitors to determine which artist can generate the most box-office revenue.
The Forbes list, which was released on Tuesday, also took into consideration the star’s ability to attract investors for financing a film project.
Smith’s latest movie, “Seven Pounds,” went on to generate more than $100 million in worldwide box office despite receiving negative reviews. This only asserts Smith’s star power.
