Multi-awarded singer-actress Whitney Houston is currently on track for a successful comeback after a rousing performance at a pre-Grammy party which honors music mogul and Houston’s mentor Clive Davis.

Top industry executives and high profile superstars were present in the ceremony and were united in saying that Houston, who had a sudden fall from grace the past few years due to drug use, is definitely in top form today.

The pre-Grammy event was staged by the Recording Academy to honor Davis’ valuable contribution to the music industry which included signing music greats such as Bruce Springsteen, Houston, Rod Stewart and Carlos Santana.

Other artists who performed in the event were Kelly Clarkson, P. Diddy, Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson. Clarkson performed her new single, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” the current Billboard number one single.
