A Sri Lankan native who currently lives in Toronto, Canada sets another world record for non-stop television watching this weekend.
Suresh Joachim set a record of 72 hours of non-stop watching at Stockholm, Sweden, officially breaking his own record of 69 hours and 48 minutes that was set in 2005.
Joachim is already known in the Guinness community since he had broken several world records in events such as dancing, crawling or marathon bowling.
He said on Sunday that he still feels great despite having not slept for the past three days, saying that he drank about 25 to 30 cups of coffee to achieve the feat. According to Janina Witkowski, the spokeswoman for Swedish TV4 channel, Joachim watched three seasons of the action-drama series “24” which stars Kiefer Sutherland.
In October last year, Joachim and Claudia Wavra of Germany were featured at a plastic-glass house in New York’s Times Square wherein the two watched nearly 60 films which lasted more than 120 hours.

YaY! We Canadians living in Stockholm … now have an awesome reputation! Although, it is the perfect time to watch this amount of continuous TV. Imagine! A 24 marathon … ALL six series … now that would be impressive!
I wonder if this was the continuous crawling record he broke? I know that I had made a failed attempt at this record back in 2001 … 18 hours … but no further.
