Okay, so can you say INSULTING as fast as you can? This wacky piece of news is both embarrassing and insulting…really! Who in their right minds would tell a patient that they can’t accommodate her medical needs because she’s too fat and that she might want to go to a zoo instead?!

A 152cm-tall, 125 kg woman was allegedly told by a hospital employee to go to a zoo to obtain an MRI because the hospital’s MRI machine cannot hold her weight. WTF, right?!

Carolyn Ragan, who has a tumor on her spine, claimed that a hospital employee suggested to her that she visit the Kansas City Zoo instead.

“I thought, I know I’m big, but I’m not as big as an elephant. And my husband got mad,” Ragan said.
